Discrimination:  A Hate Crime?

Hate.  The word brings up a variety of emotions in an equal variety of people.  As defined, the word means to dislike intensely or passionately, to detest.  Synonyms are to loathe, despise, or to abhor.  In general daily use, the word simply applies to that which one has a severe dislike such as fat on the edge of a steak or anchovies or sit-coms on TV or ever-increasing gas prices or the cost of a haircut and so on.  Rarely, on any given day, would the word be heard applied to a particular individual or even a class of individuals.  However, the current Obama administration has felt this word is used too often in such manner and has pushed through a ridiculous bill outlawing hate; not just outlawing its use, but making it a brutal and ruthless crime to demonstrate one’s hate of a thing orally…or even mentally.  The expanded federal hate crimes law, called the Matthew Shepard and James Byrd Jr. Hate-Crimes Bill of 2009 makes an assault on an individual, because of their sexual orientation or gender identity, a federal crime in order to “help protect our citizens from violence based on what they look like, who they love, and how they pray.”

According to the current Attorney General,  Obama’s lap-dog, Eric Holder, there have been more than 77,000 hate-crime incidents reported by the FBI between 1998 and 2007, or “nearly one hate-crime every hour of every day for that decade.”  However, he has offered no description or break-down of what constituted these 77,000 crimes or how many were actually prosecuted or how many were just simply petty, niggling time-wasting reports turned in because someone got their feelings hurt by what another said and had nothing to do with crime.

Current federal and state law defines a hate crime as one that involves threats, harassment, or physical harm, motivated by prejudice against someone’s race, color, religion, national origin, ethnicity, sexual orientation or physical or mental disability.  Federally, the law applies only if the crime happens when a person is attending a public school or is at work or participating in other “federally protected activities.”  Additional penalties might be imposed if it can be shown a perpetrator committing the offense of a hate-crime was motivated by the victim’s actual or perceived race, color, religion, national origin, ethnicity, or physical or mental disability.  As the law applies to speech rather than some perceived act, the communication or any expression of the perceived hatred must be proven to provoke violence or an incitement to hatred against a person or group of persons and is regarded as offensive to racial, ethnic and religious groups and other discrete minorities or to women.  Somehow, this law never seems to apply to the middle-income white Christian.

What, then, was the real purpose in passing this latest law which tramples the 1st, 4th, and 5th Amendments to the Constitution of the United States?  Joe Solmonese, president of the Human Rights Campaign, the nation’s largest gay rights group, hailed the bill as “our nation’s first major piece of civil rights legislation for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people [because] too many in our community have been devastated by hate violence.”  Too many?  So, this new law is aimed at protecting the community of queers from those who are offended by their actions, their philosophy, anti-Christian rhetoric, and their explicit immorality according to any civilized standard.

For Christians, this law disembowels our rights to voice in any way our objections to the disgusting, obtuse, and inconsiderate displays of open sexuality produced in public, the media, on television and in the cinema by the grotesque homosexual community.  Such rights given to the outlandish displays of these disgusting people as in the Gay Pride parades in San Francisco, New York, and other cities of this country wherein total nudity is permitted (probably out of fear that disallowing their perverted behavior would end in a flood of lawsuits) are not reciprocal to those who are conservative Christian in their beliefs.  These so-called parades of “pride” should be repulsive and revolting to even the most ordinary of citizens of any city in any state.  There is no other group of people anywhere who can act this way in public and flaunt their contempt of decency without so much as a citation from a beat cop.  That in itself is outrageous and inciting!  The law is now that rather than being allowed to disassociate ourselves from such immoral behavioral displays, Christians are being forced to accept it as normal behavior for anyone who is a modern civic-minded permissive person.  If we refuse, we become the ones to be outlawed and condemned because of our austere and ascetic mindset.

If these people understood Christians, they would know it is not the personal orientation of queers which is so offensive, but their in-your-face attitude many of them have.  I, personally, do not actually care what they do to each other, so long as I do not have to see it on the streets or in my living room.  I am offended and am disgusted by the open display of their perversion, and especially if I am forced to view it.  Hollywood used to keep such things hidden from the public, going to great lengths to do so to protect those actors with such orientation.  While rumors may have been present, the public accepted the rumors for what they were:  rumors.  And, what the queer actors did on their own time off screen did not offend anyone.  But, now, it seems the rule they become public and “in-your-face” with their same-sex marriages and relationships.  They actually think their careers are enhanced by their perversions and their viewing public increases with each new repulsive partner they find when in fact, it actually decreases because those of us who are conservative in our nature and more discriminate in what we wish to view do not go to their movies or rent their videos or watch their programs on TV.

Christians discriminate, that is a fact.  We are called to do so by the Bible, the Word of God, which we follow for our guidance in life rather than the idiotic bi-sexual, transsexual, transgender cross-dressers on the silver screen.  Our discrimination takes the form of disassociation and withdrawal from those things which are repulsive to God and which, therefore, repulse us utilizing the rights granted us by the Constitution of the United States and, moreover, by the Creator, Himself.  And, speaking of the Creator, these practicing perverts will find out just how discriminating God is when it comes to those who continue to practice their abominable acts without shame and without remorse, remaining unrepentant.  If they would change, they might find the beauty of God’s Grace instead of the condemnation they will face without it.  It is the Christian exercise of free will to discriminate and it is the homosexual’s choice to continue in their self-chosen lifestyle.

If there is any reader who does not believe in the severe penalty of practicing homosexuality, they should read the following Bible scriptures:  Lev.
